As a result of our brand core process and an associated audit, it became clear that the Ernst-Abbe-University Jena needed to address its stakeholders and in particular (potential) students more systematically and consistently via social media. As part of the new brand alignment, we aimed a.o. for bolder brand communication in digital media. The result: a modern, concise and tidy social media design and versatile brand templates for the friendly university.

Social Media Design for successful communication of the university brand

In a comprehensive brand core process, we developed an innovative design concept for the social media accounts of the Ernst-Abbe-University Jena. Our goal was to emphasize the content and brand values through a powerful design, based on the findings of our initial brand analysis.

Following the brand process, we carried out a rebrush for social media in order to systematically present the university profile to the interested public and students as well as to effectively inform the target groups. In doing so, we focused on an appealing design that would create an emotional bond with the university, especially among young people.

We developed a visual content strategy to enable the university team to edit content themselves and at the same time create space to showcase real campus life.

To achieve this, we created customized brand templates in Canva. We paid particular attention to varied feed communication and also to the creative design of Instagram stories - including meaningful covers for Reels & TikToks.

Editing the templates independently creates flexibility. They enable the university to respond quickly and easily to current events and developments without having to go through complex design processes.

Our social media templates, which can be easily edited by the team in Canva, are therefore a crucial foundation for the successful digital communication of the Ernst-Abbe-University Jena brand.
